How to use add watermark to pdf
Open your PDF
Drag and drop your PDF onto the upload area, or click to choose a file. The file stays on your device — there is no server upload.
Type your watermark text
Enter the text you want stamped on every page — your name, company, "CONFIDENTIAL", "DRAFT", or any short phrase. Pick the angle, color, and opacity that work for your document.
Apply the watermark
USA Sky PDF draws the watermark on every page in your browser, layered over the existing content at the opacity you chose.
Download the watermarked PDF
Click Download to save the watermarked .pdf to your device. Every page now carries your stamp.
Why use USA Sky PDF
Your file stays on your device
Nothing is uploaded. The watermark is added entirely in your browser, and the new file is saved straight to your downloads folder.
Custom text, angle, color, opacity
Choose any short phrase, rotate it for a diagonal stamp, pick the color, and dial in the opacity so it's visible without overwhelming the underlying content.
Every page in one pass
The watermark is drawn on every page of the document — no page-by-page setup.
Free with no signup
No account, no email, no watermarks added without your consent. There's nothing to upgrade for this tool because nothing leaves your device.
Frequently asked questions
Is watermarking really free?
Yes. Free with no signup and no per-conversion limit.
Does the file leave my computer?
No. Watermarking runs entirely in your browser. USA Sky PDF's servers never see your PDF for this tool.
Can I use an image as a watermark?
Not in this dedicated tool — here the watermark is text. For image watermarks (logos, signatures, stamps), open your PDF in the main editor and use the Add Image tool to place an image on each page.
Will the watermark be on every page?
Yes. The watermark is drawn on every page of the PDF in a single pass. If you want it only on some pages, extract those pages first, watermark them, and merge back together.
Can I remove a watermark from a PDF later?
Once a watermark is drawn into the PDF's page content, it becomes part of the page and can't be cleanly removed — that's how watermarks are designed to work. If you want to keep an unwatermarked version, save a copy of the original before applying the watermark.
