What happens if the new size has a different aspect ratio than the original?
The content is uniformly scaled to fit and centered on the new page, leaving equal white margins on the longer axis — what print and video software call letterboxing. Nothing is stretched and nothing is cropped. If your source pages are 8.5×11 (US Letter) and you resize to 8.5×14 (Legal), you'll get pages that fit Letter content with whitespace above and below; resize the other direction and the content shrinks to fit. To trim margins instead, use the Crop tool.
What about my form fields and bookmarks — do they survive?
Yes. We carry through AcroForm widgets (interactive form fields), annotations, the document outline (bookmarks), PDF page labels, and any OpenAction settings. The resized output behaves like the original, just at the new page size.
Will resizing affect quality?
Text, vector shapes, and embedded fonts scale losslessly — they sharpen or shrink with no quality loss. Raster images already in the PDF are re-rendered at the new scale; modest size changes look identical, big enlargements (3×+) can introduce some softness because the pixel data didn't change.
